InertFoam

The InertFoam System is designed for use in hazardous areas where conventional fire protection systems are either impractical or unacceptable. It applies high expansion foam filled with an inert gas that displaces flammable or toxic gases and greatly reduces the evaporation rate of any remaining liquids. As the foam breaks down the inert gas is released into the space and so maintains an inert atmosphere that prevents ignition and explosion. The InertFoam System is ideal for protecting underground sumps and void spaces. Typical applications include road and rail tunnels and process plant underground storage tanks. An InerfFoam System prortects the Oresund Link, the world's longest underground tunnel between Copenhagen Airport and Malmo in Sweden.
